CAMTOOL

About Camtool

The principles behind quick campus web tools that work without an account or setup.

Tools for the moment you need them

Camtool is a collection of focused web utilities for recurring campus tasks: timing a study session, drawing a random name, estimating a report, formatting a citation, checking GPA, and converting an image.

Each tool is designed to accept input and produce a result on one page without an account or project setup. Every tool has a stable URL and clear explanation, with mobile and keyboard use considered from the start.

Our editorial standard

Guides are not written to pad search results. They explain the context, examples, limitations, and checks required to use a tool responsibly. When a school, department, publisher, or official manual is authoritative, the guide says so clearly.

Before adding a page, we check that it solves a distinct problem. We prefer a smaller set of reviewed, useful pages over automatically generated volume, and correct inaccurate or outdated material when it is found.

A data-minimizing design

Inputs such as draft text, names, grades, and image files are processed in the user's browser by default and are not stored in a Camtool account or application database. A feature that requires external transfer would need a clear notice and consent first.

Camtool reviews its tools and documentation regularly. No dedicated contact channel is currently operated; when one is ready, it will be announced on the site.
